New connection services and features available

We’ve added new products and functionality to the Cyxtera portal, to help you manage more of your data center operations without needing to contact us. We’ve also improved the information we display to you in some areas of the portal.

Connect to Digital Exchange

Our state-of-the-art software-defined network, Digital Exchange, is now available via the Cyxtera portal. It means you can now directly order and configure an Exchange Port, to create a redundant interconnection between your colocation environment and the Cyxtera Digital Exchange.

You can find out more information about enabling Exchange Ports in the Exchange Port Activation Guide.

Order Riser Connects

If you operate from a Cyxtera data center located in a multi-tenant environment, you can now create connections that link your organization to a party in the non-Cyxtera part of the building. Called Riser Connect, this connection provides you with connectivity from an Ecosystem Connect port in the Cyxtera Meet Me Room to a partner (Z-end) operating from the non-Cyxtera area.
It’s easy to see which of your connections are Riser Connect ports, with these colored red and displaying an icon with an upwards rising arrow.

Self-service disconnection

You can also now disconnect Riser Connect and Exchange ports within the Cyxtera portal. It means you can quickly adapt your operations as your needs change without needing to call in to us.

Tech specs for Enterprise Bare Metal compute nodes

We’ve made it easier to see at-a-glance which server best suits your needs when ordering Enterprise Bare Metal. You can now show (and hide) more detailed tech specs for each compute node type, which includes processor type, memory, and storage.
