New insights and reporting

The latest release of the Cyxtera portal includes new data insights and reporting, to help you better manage your data center and associated costs. We’ve also made it easier to see who is visiting, or has access rights to your data center spaces.

Remote Hands: new interactive usage graph

You can now view Remote Hands usage at-a-glance, directly from your Overview page of the portal. It shows you your Remote Hands usage by month, color-coded by billing organization (BAN).
To access the report, log in to the portal and scroll down to the Tickets section. The report is interactive: simply hover over a bar for the cost of Remote Hands tickets raised for that organization in that period.

Support cases and requests: time billed now displayed

We’ve added “Time Billed” to the information displayed for support cases and requests on the portal Overview page. Scroll down to the Tickets section to see the updated report, which enables you to quickly and clearly understand the costs any support work is incurring.

Customer spaces: new access lists and visitor logs

We’ve added some new reports for administrators, showing who has access to your data center spaces, including rack and cages. The new Access tab, on the Space Overview page, shows:

  • Active Access Authorizations: everyone currently authorized to visit the space, including whether they need an escort (and if so, who) plus the date their access expires. You can click through to the person’s record, so it’s easy to make changes when they’re needed.
  • Visitors: a list of everyone who has visited, or is due to visit, that particular space in person.
    You can filter the list to show past, current, or future information, and there’s a button to export the information currently displayed to a CSV file.
