SmartCabs are on-demand, dedicated colocation cabinets. They are built by the Cyxtera data center team and come ready-provisioned with power and a connection to the core network—and our ecosystem of technology providers.

You no longer have to decide between a colocation or public cloud deployment for your infrastructure or applications—SmartCabs enable you to quickly and easily access the benefits of both. SmartCabs are built for high reliability and high security and can be provisioned in minutes.

Get up and running quickly

Because SmartCabs are available on-demand, you can reduce the process of getting up and running down from weeks to the same day. There’s no significant up-front investment, and there’s no need to invest in expensive routing equipment with IP Connect + Layer 3 (although you can choose to bring your own router). You can also scale your capacity when you need to, in real time with Enterprise Bare Metal.

Cabinet options

You can order three different size cabinets:

• Full: Fiber, copper and Ecosystem Connect ports with 44 rack units.
• Half: Fiber, copper and Ecosystem Connect ports with 19 rack units.
• Quarter: Fiber, copper and Ecosystem Connect ports with 8 rack units.
